High Wycombe, UK

date

2008 - 2020

sector

Master planning

Handy Cross Hub is located strategically on the approach to London from the Midlands at the heart of The Thames Valley Region. The hub site creates a gateway to High Wycombe from the south as it is located adjacent to Junction 4 of the M40. In 2008 the site and grounds of the former Wycombe Sports Centre complex were identified as an opportunity to create a new mixed-use development which would include: a new sports and leisure centre; integrated transport hub; 340,000ft2 of offices; a business hotel; and a community building. We were initially appointed as master plan architect but subsequently contributed to many other aspects of the project including delivering the transport interchange and community building to completion and securing full planning permission on the Hotel and the Offices. We also designed the Hub’s logo.
