The proposed conversion of the listed Rayners Penn country estate into a boutique hotel and spa needed a car parking solution which was sympathetic to its Green Belt location. At the same time the client wanted to create a sensory garden for guests to enjoy. Our proposal places the car park below ground level but still connected to fresh air and daylight by a moat. The sensory garden is then placed on top of this structure re-establishing the existing ground level.
